Edward E. Raymond

Edward E. Raymond, 59, of 1390 S. Main St. Ext., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in his home.

A native of Jamestown, he was born Feb. 24, 1953, a son of the late William and Joyce Peterson Ray-mond.

He graduated from Southwestern Central School in 1971, and from WCA Hospital School of Radiology in 1973.

Prior to his recent retire-ment, he was a 40-year em-ployee of WCA Hospital working as a senior tech in the radiology control area.

He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.

He was a member of Samuel L. Derby Post Sons of the American Legion, Frewsburg, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and ARRT The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

He was a man of many talents and a jack-of-all- trades. He could fix any-thing. He enjoyed collect-ing Santa Clauses, cooking, photography, traveling and spending time with his fam-ily. His three daughters were his pride and joy.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lisa Ann But-tafaro, whom he married July 30, 1982; three daughters: Erika Lee Ray-mond, Ashley Elizabeth Raymond and Jessica Ann Raymond, all at home; his beloved dog, George; three sisters: Diane LaBarte of Sumter, S.C., Nancy West-brook of Live Oak, Fla., and Jan Newman of Sumter, S.C; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Patricia Buttafaro; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Terry La-Barte; and a nephew, Michael Westbrook.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy will be celebrant.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:45 p.m.
