BPU water customers may see discolored water in Jamestown and the Celoron through mid-afternoon today.
The stirred water is the result of work completed Wednesday night on Baker Street and Newland Avenue in Jamestown. Water crews responded to a main break Wednesday morning and had to replace two water valves as well. Water customers in the area were without water until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Discolored water may work its way into Lakewood and North Harmony.
The water is safe to use, but its appearance is discolored. Customers should avoid doing laundry until the water clears.
