ELLICOTTVILLE -Ellicottville (1-2) picked up its first win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Chautauqua Lake in Division 3 boys soccer action on Tuesday.
The Eagles got on the board early as Alex Steinbroner scored just three minutes into the game, assisted by Pat Snyder, and Conner Green made it 2-0 one minute later on an assist from Liam O'Rourke.
The Thunderbirds trimmed the lead to 2-1 when Justin Andriaccio scored an unassisted goal with six minutes left in the first half, but Green netted his second of the game in the second half, assisted by David Toner to increase the lead. Steinbroner finished off the scoring by the Eagles with one minute left as Green earned the assist.
Jeremy Bordini had three saves for Ellicottville to get the win in goal.
Ryan Linnecke collected 10 saves for Chautauqua Lake (0-1).

CARDS EDGE FALCONER
FALCONER - Matthew Bourne was the leader as Randolph beat Falconer, 4-2, in a rain-shortened game.
Bourne scored twice, and Jacob Turner and Skyler Schapp once for Randolph.
Nick Alexander and Steven Kanicki had goals in a losing cause.
