CHERRY CREEK - The 1950s and 1960s will be in full swing the weekend of Sept. 21-22 at Pine Valley Central School as nearly two decades of Pine Valley graduates get together for a reunion.
On Friday, Sept. 21, there will be a golf outing. Those interested are asked to call Larry Waite at 516-510-6145 or email him at putterman2k1@yahoo.com. Friday's events continue Friday evening at 7 p.m. as the classes gather Pine Valley football game at the school.
Saturday's reunion begins at 4 p.m. with registration in the old gymnasium. Also at 4 p.m. will be a tour of the school. A chicken barbecue dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The cost is $20 a person or $35 a couple.
The price includes postage, the meal, dessert, beverage and other expenses incurred on behalf of the reunion.
Those attending are asked to bring memorabilia and old photos for a planned area of interest to graduates. Reservations are needed and payment must be made to the following class representatives by Wednesday. This will be the last time this event will occur.
