RUSSELL, Pa. - A total of 72 golfers participated in the 21st annual Craig Swanson Memorial Golf Tournament held on at Cable Hollow Golf Course .
The winners of this year's team scramble with a 14-under par 59 was the team of Dan Griffin, Bob Adams, Greg White and Pat McKowiak. Second were Steve Sischo, Anne Sischo, Mark Panebianco and John Damond with a 60.
Keith Martin, Kevin Martin, Steve Bowman and Joe Mistretta; and Steve Centi, Matt Centi, Jeff DePetro, and Matt Beebe that shot 63s.
Long drive winners were Anne Sischo for the ladies and Jim Vincent for the men. Closest-to-the-pin winners were Terry Nyari for the ladies and Ty Bonfiglio for the men.
Several Craig "Swanny" Swanson Memorial Scholarship recipients played in this year's tournament including Cael Johnson, Thad Johnson, Asa Johnson, Jake Hyldahl and Dan Cheney.
This year's tournament raised $3,689 to benefit the Craig "Swanny" Swanson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Total donations to the scholarship fund from this golf tournament have now reached $60,826 since the tournament's inception in 1992.
To date, proceeds from the Craig "Swanny" Swanson Memorial Scholarship Fund have provided $57,500 in scholarships to 47 Frewsburg High School students preparing to enter college and to 23 Frewsburg High School alumni already in college, with an additional $40,000 invested in various Frewsburg-area sports facilities.
