ALFRED - Freshman Gage Bird scored two goals to help Jamestown Community College (1-1, 1-2) pick up its first win of the season by a 4-2 margin over SUNY Delhi in the East-West Tournament at Alfred State College on Sunday.
The Jayhawks are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in NJCAA Region 3 Division III.
Bird opened the scoring when he took the ball at mid-field and raced through five defenders to score with 15:04 left in the first half.

Delhi tied with game 49 seconds left in the half on a goal by Tom Knowles.
Paul Andalora put JCC back in front when scored on 25-yard shot, assisted by Blake Barker, eight minutes into the second half.
With 9:50 left, Conner Meekins scored an unassisted goal from 40 yards out to put the Jayhawks in front, 3-1.
Delhi made it 3-2 with 8:16 left on another goal by Knowles.
However, with 5:52 left, Andalora connected with Bird from 30 yards and the Frewsburg graduated headed the ball in goal from 8 yards out for 4-2 lead.
JCC goaltender Brian Kobel had four saves.
The Jayhawks return to action on Thursday at Niagara County CC.
