ASHVILLE - The Western New York Food Express Truck will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Proof of address is required for the free food. Thrift Shop's To Begin Fall Hours
St. Luke's Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and Fifth streets, Jamestown, starts fall hours on Wednesday, Sept. 5. The shop will be open for sales and receiving 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Receiving only is 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays. All "new" fall clothing, jewelry and small household items are available. Off-street parking is located in the church lot off East Fifth Street. The staff is all local volunteers including many from RSVP. All proceeds are used locally.
Senior Social Is Sept. 19 In Kiantone
KIANTONE - The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County is holding a Senior Social on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Kiantone Fire Hall. Tickets are $11 for a swiss steak or vegetarian meal. Music is of the big band era featured by Tim Stockman. A basket auction with more than 30 baskets will be held as well as a 50-50 giveaway. JCC To Host Notary Public Course
A seminar preparing individuals for the New York state notary public test will be offered on Sept. 26 at Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus and at the North County Center in Dunkirk on Oct. 10. Both sessions meet from 9 a.m. to noon. The seminar is approved by the New York State Association of Notaries Public and provides information on the responsibilities of a notary public. Vendors Accepted For Mistletoe Mart
Planning is under way for the YWCA of Jamestown's 2012 Mistletoe Mart. The event will take place Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To reserve a vending spot, contact YWCA at 488-2237 or visit www.ywcaofjamestown.com for more information. Card Party To Be Held Sept. 12
The Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Gertrude is holding a Card Party on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul church hall. Tickets are $3.50 and can be purchased from any member or at the door.
