AM Rotary Hears From YMCA?Director

September 3, 2012
The Post-Journal

Scott Mekus, Jamestown Area YMCA membership and marketing director, was a guest speaker at the Greater Jamestown AM Rotary recently.

Mekus discussed the YMCA's non-profit charitable status and the YMCA's mission of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility in the community.

He also thanked the Rotary members for their involvement with the Eastside YMCA, where they have built a new playground, a community garden and hosted holiday and skating parties for youth members. September is the Y's membership drive month, where the joining fee is waived and the first 100 people to join will receive a complimentary gym bag or Y T-shirt. Current members who refer a friend that joins the YMCA will also receive the bag or T-shirt.
