The Jamestown Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a vehicle that may have been involved in a drive-by shooting Tuesday.

According to a police report, officers were called to the area of Chandler Street in Jamestown at about 10:30 a.m. after several residents heard what they thought were gun shots. No one was injured in the incident, but at least eight shots were fired. Upon arrival, officers found shell casings from a firearm in the street.

At this time, investigators do not have any victims and do not know who the intended target or targets were. Surveillance cameras in the area did capture a vehicle that was driving through the area that appears to be a four-door SUV. Investigators are looking to identify and speak with the occupants of that vehicle.
