Edward A. Uber

Edward A. Uber, 62, of 6 Shirley Lane, Jamestown, died Friday (Aug, 24, 2012), in WCA Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1950, in St. Mary's, Pa., the son of James O. "Pete" and Anna F. Allen Uber.

Ed attended Jamestown Schools, and served from 1969 until 1971 in the U.S. Army. He worked at the former Falconer Plate Glass Co. from 1972 until the plant closed.

Surviving besides his mother is his wife, Elsie Huddleson Uber of James-town; six children: Kristy A. Uber (Wes) Pickard of Jamestown, Robert (Jolan) Uber of Florida, Mary (Tom) Davis and Tina Uber, both of Jamestown, Scott (Tammy) Huddleson of Randolph and Greg Hud-dleson of Celoron; nine grandchildren: Brandon, Alyssa, Sara, Erika, Patrick, Tyler, Gregory, Jordyn and Zachary; two sisters: Cindy Odom and Penny Uber, both of Florida; a brother, David Uber of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 5, 2011; and a brother, Robert W. Uber on Aug. 14, 2012.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
