A man dressed "like a ninja" robbed the Falconer News store, 27 E. Main St., Falconer, and slipped away into the night.
At about 8:45 p.m. Monday, Ellicott police were dispatched after a man entered the store, knocked over the store owner, took the owner's checkbook or wallet and ran out the door. The only description of the robber was a tall, thin man dressed in black clothing, black gloves, black shoes and wearing a ski mask. Later reports described the man as being dressed like a ninja. Ellicott police searched the area around the store and the New York State Police were notified. Police weren't able to give more information at the scene Monday.
