Ethel D. Youngberg Farley, 95, formerly of 329 E. Elmwood Ave., Falconer, passed away Sunday (Aug. 12, 2012) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center in Jamestown.
She was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Moorefield, Ohio, and was the last surviving child of nine children of the late Harley and Mary Neighborgall Dudgeon.
Ethel was a 1935 graduate of Lander High School and was valedictorian of her class. Prior to retirement she had been employed by MRC-TRW for 25 years as an inspector and time keeper retiring in 1978.

She attended Levant Wesleyan Church for more than 60 years and was a member of the Retired UAW Local 0338 having served as recording secretary for 10 years. She was an avid reader and was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed painting, knitting and crocheting.
Surviving are her son, David A. (Lucille) Youngberg of Falconer; a daughter, Nancy Carlson of Warren, Pa.; 10 grandchildren: David (Carrie) Youngberg Jr. of Manhattan, N.Y., Michael (Amy) Youngberg of Falconer, Steven (Kelly) Youngberg of Palmer, Mass., Jeffrey Youngberg of Sarasota, Fla., Billie Nuhfer of Russell, Pa., Craig (Sandy) Youngberg of Port Charlotte, Fla., Lauri (Kenneth) Desrosiers of Broadbrook, Conn., Terry (Kathy) Youngberg of Jamestown, Bradley (Laurie) Carlson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Amy (Tim) Rossman of Russell, Pa.; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gust A. Youngberg, whom she married May 12, 1937, who died April 4, 1959; her second husband, George W. Farley Jr., whom she married Aug. 31, 1963, who died July 13, 2009; a son, William Carl Youngberg who died March 7, 2000; four brothers: Harold, Clarence, John and Paul Dudgeon; and four sisters: Edna Burgett, Martha Anderson, Fannie Almgren Harrison and Harriett Eccles.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 31, 2012) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, chaplain of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service in the chapel of the nursing facility.
