CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
HANOVER - Jordan Chevier, 19, of Buffalo was charged with driving while intoxicated-common law, DWI per se .08 blood alcohol content or higher and stop sign violation at 3:01 a.m. Thursday in the town of Hanover. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Alleghany Road in Sunset Bay. The vehicle was stopped for the violation and Chevier was found to be the operator. Further investigation led to Chevier's arrest. Chevier was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in Hanover court at a later date.
RIPLEY - Jason P. Meredith, 33, of 30 W. Main St., Apt. B, Ripley, was charged as a fugitive from justice at 7:03 p.m. Thursday. Erie County Court, Pa., issued a bench warrant for failure to appear on Meredith. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and New York State Parole went to his residence and executed the warrant without incident. Meredith was arraigned in the Town of Ripley Court, committed to the Chautauqua County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
MAYVILLE - Shane E. Latta, 48, of 4747 Potter Road, Mayville, was charged with second-degree harassment at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at 17 Water St., Mayville, after an incident at the Kwik Fill in Mayville. It is alleged that Latta threatened another person. He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Allen D. Terry, 64, of Jamestown was taken into custody at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at 20 W. Summit Ave., Lakewood, on an outstanding parole warrant out of Lancaster County, Pa. He was arraigned in the Town of Busti Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting extradition.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
Casey S. Monroe, 25, of 89 Morris St., Mayville, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance outside of an original container at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Westfield Police Department was investigating a suspicious situation at West Main and Chestnut streets in the village of Westfield. During the investigation it was found that Monroe possessed a controlled substance. Monroe was issued appearance tickets and is to appear at Westfield Village Court on a later date.
