William H. "Bill" "Wagon Wheel" Roberts, 74, of Sheridan, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at home with his family and friends present.
He was born May 26, 1938, in Jamestown, son of the late Howard and Alice Mae (Wang) Roberts Jr.
A retired employee of Red Wig Corporation in Fredonia as a truck driver.

Life member of the National Rifle Association, Bill was an avid fisherman, and hunter that had hunted in most of the 50 states, he also enjoyed to travel, spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and watching the N.Y. Yankees.
Surviving are his children: Teresa (Michael) Borzilleri of Florida, Kenneth (Gena) Caffoe and Julie (Dwight) Nicholson both of Arkansas, daughter-in-law Katie Roberts of Sheridan; brother of Howard Roberts III of Cassadaga and Michael (Linda) Roberts of Plesantgarden, N.C.; and grandchildren: Branden Caffoe, Alexis and Berkeley Roberts, Andrew Borzilleri, Joshua and Jennifer Nicholson, expected grandson Jeffery Borzilleri, former wife Judy Hall, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Many, many special friends, including John Swanson, also survive.
Preceded in addition to his parents is a son Jeffery Roberts, and grandson Justin Nicholson.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bill's life will be held Sunday afternoon, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. at 3323 Route 20, Sheridan, N.Y.
Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St. in Dunkirk.
