The Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown is planning a 75th anniversary show, "Memories and More," to be presented Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 9 at 2 p.m.
The show will feature highlights and a history from the theater's past. A special segment will be devoted to Fredericka and Daniel Woodard, artistic and technical directors from 1972 to 1985. Their children, Daniel, Durenka and Breck are planning to attend. Anyone who has worked at the theater with Fredericka and Dan Woodard are asked to contact Gail Galbato at 488-9200 or Helen Merrill at 665-5750. The theater hopes to have as many people as possible be a part of the tribute.
"Freddie and Dan were instrumental in presenting Jamestown with the intriguing, classic character loved by all when they cast Sam Paladino as 'Dracula,'" Merrill wrote in an email. "This proved to be a dynamic partnership as the Woodards cast Sam in many more shows in their career with LBLTJ. It is only fitting that 'Memories' include a memorial tribute to Mr. Paladino."
