GERRY - James E. Kahle, 64 of Gerry died Sun., Aug. 19, 2012, at home.
Born Nov. 10, 1947, in Jamestown, son of the late Don and Vera Schilling Kahle. A Chautauqua County resident most of his life he was an alumni of Jamestown schools.
A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he served as a sergeant in the United States Marines.

He was employed for over 35 years at Blackstone/Valeo, retiring in 2007.
Jim was a "home body" who enjoyed working on his home, spending time with his dog and most of all, loved being with family, especially his grandchildren.
Husband of 44 years to Mary Ann Frye Kahle, who he married January 23, 1968; father of James (Cathy) Kahle Jr. of Gerry and Kristina (Sean) Kahle-LeBarron of Forestville; grandfather of Ethan and Alex Kahle and Katelyn and Kyle LeBarron; brother of Bruce Kahle and Sandra Cordova both of Randolph, Geraldine Sard of Panama and the late Ruth Mattocks, Doris Ramakers, Maxine Ricketts, John and Don Kahle. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Gerry Cemetery.
