Bank Announces Promotion

Robert M. Pope has been promoted to assistant vice president, computer operations, at Northwest Savings Bank.

Dave Stevenson, vice president of computer operations, made the announcement on behalf of the bank.

Pope is responsible for supervising and directing the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology Department's computer-operations team and is responsible for the support of all computer operations-related activities. He has helped implement various new technologies including secure file transfers, document archiving for statement and notice preparation. In addition, Pope shares responsibility and plays a key role as a member of the management team for the Information Technology Department team.

Pope joined Northwest Savings Bank in 2003 as a network technician in the Technical Services Department and in 2007 accepted a position as computer operations supervisor in the Computer Operations Division. In addition to ongoing professional training and certifications in various computer technologies, he attended the Pennsylvania Banking School in 2010 and graduated at the head of his class with top honors.

Pope is a Long Island native and a graduate of the State University of New York, where he earned a bachelor's degree. Pope and his wife, Betsy, live in Jamestown with their three sons.
