Virginia M. Arnold

Virginia M. Arnold, 91, of 10 Hinkle St., Warren, Pa., passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at her residence.

Virginia was born March 31, 1921, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred Farr Gollnick.

She was a Warren resident for the past 50-plus years and was formerly em-ployed at Warren Com-ponents. Virginia left work to be a devoted wife, moth-er, and grandmother. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Virginia enjoyed her fish pond, loved to play cards and dearly loved her family and her faithful dog, "Dusty." She will be sadly missed by her family and all those who knew her.

She is survived by three daughters: Nancy DeRosia and her husband, Larry, Cimmaron, Colo.; Linda Thomas and her husband, David, Jamestown, N.Y.; and Joan Winans, Warren, Pa.; two sisters: Marian Guiffreda, Jamestown, N.Y., and Shirley Carlson and her husband, Wayne, also of Jamestown; 11 grandchil-dren: Lynn Stockhausen, Jason Cook, Tara Strong, Kim Retterer, Bob DeRosia, Dick DeRosia, Debbie and Steve Stanko, Ron Stanko Jr., Michael Arnold, and Jennifer Arnold; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on Dec, 5, 1998, by her husband, Albert Ar-nold, whom she married Oct. 24, 1938, at the First Salem United Methodist Church in Warren; a daughter, Carol Stanko; a son, Edward Arnold; and three brothers: Dave, Paul, and Ronald Gollnick.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Fun-eral Home Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Sun-day, Aug. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiat-ing.

Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365.
