Robert W. Uber

Robert W. Uber, 49, of 112 Warwick Road, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, in the emergency room of WCA Hospital.

A lifelong area resident, he was born June 29, 1963, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late James O. "Pete" Huber and Anna F. Allen Uber.

Bob was a partner in the family businesses, Quick Solutions and Third & Cherry Business Centre and was also a real estate associate with Century 21 Turner Brokers in Lake-wood.

He was very active in Southwestern area sports as he coached several of his son's teams over the years. He was a past president of the Southwestern Youth Soccer League and a past president of the Southwestern Area Baseball League. He was a past member of the Lions Club and the Optimist Club, a member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge 145 Free and Accepted Masons, the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and had volunteered through the years for various organizations including the American Heart Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Walk and many others.

Surviving are his mother of Jamestown; his wife of 27 years, Melissa Eaglesome Uber; three sons: Shane, Sean and Tyler Uber, all of Jamestown; two brothers: Edward Uber of Jamestown, and David Uber of Florida; two sisters: Cindy Odom and Penny Uber, both of Florida; a nephew, Zach Camarata of Ashville, N.Y.; two nieces: Allecia Camarata of Jamestown and Diane Mitchell of Florida; and his mother-in-law, Sheila Eaglesome of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his father who died Feb 5, 2011; his nephew, David Danielson; and his father-in-law, Robert E. Eaglesome, who died Sept. 21, 1999.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 1:45 p.m. Friday.
