Janet T. Iulg, 84, formerly of Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, Gerry, N.Y., and 114 Euclid Ave., Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in the Lodge Care Center, Loveland, Ohio, under the care of Hospice.
She was born July 26, 1928, in Buffalo, N.Y., a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Pike Sweeney.
Before her retirement, she was employed as a high school office and clerical worker and secretary for the Akron Central School System.

She will be remembered as an accomplished artist who created many beautiful nature scenes in oil paints, but most importantly, she was a wonderfully giving and joyful person and a loving wife, mother and grandmother
Surviving are her husband, Walter A. Iulg, whom she married Sept. 15, 1947; a daughter, Dianne M. (Kameron) Brooks of Randolph, N.Y.; a son, Warren (Laurie) Iulg of Maineville, Ohio; three grandchildren: Garrett A. Brooks of Jamestown, N.Y., Regan T. Brooks of Randolph, N.Y., Ryan A. Iulg of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one great-grandson, Preston Brooks of Jamestown, N.Y.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Brown; and three brothers: David, William and Thomas Sweeney.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond McGinnis, retired chaplain of Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
