CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA - Taylor H. Smith, 23, of Fulton, Mo., was charged at 1:40 a.m. Friday, with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and insufficient tail lamps. Sheriff's patrol observed an eastbound vehicle on Route 394 in the town of Chautauqua with less than two lighted tail lamps. The vehicle was stopped and following investigation, Smith was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released to appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Brandon E. Marx, 30, of Gowanda was charged at 1:33 a.m. Friday, with speeding in zone, failure to comply, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, felony driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se. Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. The vehicle failed to comply with deputies and continued east on Routes 5 and 20. The vehicle then entered Erie County and shortly after pulled over and stopped. The driver of the vehicle then switched positions in the vehicle with a back seat passenger. Upon investigation, Marx was found to be the operator of the vehicle. Marx was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. A check of his driving history revealed that he had a previous conviction of DWI within the past 10 years making this arrest a felony. He will appear in the town of Hanover court at a later date. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Silver Creek Police Department and the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
FORESTVILLE - Joshua Stull, 36, of Forestville was charged with criminal contempt at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, Stull allegedly violated a court order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
Charles F. Haley, 40, of Jamestown, was charged at 3:15 a.m. Friday, with no/improper signal, driving while intoxicated and driving with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. Officers from the Ellicott and Jamestown Police Departments observed a suspicious vehicle at the Kwik Fill on East Second Street, Falconer leaving the business and turning south onto Tiffany Avenue. The vehicle turned quickly onto Hopkins Avenue, Minisker Street and back toward Tiffany Avenue on Blackstone Avenue. The vehicle traveled through the parking lot of TitanX and parked. Haley was found operating the vehicle while intoxicated and he was arrested. Haley was transported to the Jamestown Police Department City Jail and charged. He will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.
Edgar Melendez-Rosario, 25, of Jamestown, was charged at 3 p.m. Thursday, with petit larceny. Officers responded to Video games plus store at 106 E. Third St., for a shoplifting report. They were able to identify the male as Melendez-Rosario. He allegedly took several items from the store without paying. Officers located him at a residence in the city of Jamestown where he was arrested and is being held in city jail.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. - Seth Devore, 29, of Jamestown was charged with harassment on Friday, Aug. 3. The incident occurred between 6:30 and 9 p.m., as Devore repeatedly called/texted and showed up at the home of the victim and followed her about in public, knowing that the behavior was unwelcomed by her.
SHEFFIELD, Pa. - An adult female, 22, and a male, 24, were charged with harassment/domestic violence on Tuesday. Pennsylvania State Police Warren investigated a domestic incident where the individuals subjected an adult female, 22 and an adult male, 24, to unwanted physical contact.
PITTSFIELD, Pa. - Brandy Burton, 26, of Panama City, Fla., and Bruce Lundmark, 61, or Pittsfield, were charged at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, with harassment. The incident occurred as both parties entered into a verbal altercation which turned physical. Burton and Lundmark were both issued citations.
WARREN, Pa. - Lonnie E. Pire, 59, of Union City, Pa., was charged with improperly driving on roadways laned for traffic at 10 p.m. on Aug. 5 after a one-vehicle accident. A 2004 Chevy Colorado being operated by Pire drifted onto the northern berm of state Route 6, traveling approximately 115 feet. It then turned abruptly in a southwest direction, crossing back onto the road. Afterward, it spun 180 degrees, traveling 75 feet across both lanes before leaving the road on the southern shoulder and striking a group of trees. Pire was transported to Corry Hospital by Garland Ambulance.
SALAMANCA POLICE
SALAMANCA - Nathaniel Skinner, 18, of Salamanca, was charged at 6:01 p.m. Monday, for unlawful possession or use of fireworks. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Salamanca City Court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday to answer the charge.
SALAMANCA - Ernest C. Brown, 45, of 54 Armstrong St., Salamanca, was charged with trespassing Sunday. He was issued an appearance ticket and appeared in City Court on Friday.
SALAMANCA - Ryan A. Easton-Brown, 28, of California, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation and second-degree criminal contempt Sunday. He is being held in the Salamanca holding facility for arraignment.
SALAMANCA - William R. Lightner was arrested Sunday on a bench warrant out of Salamanca City, posted bail of $275 and appeared in city court on Friday.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
COLDSPRING - Karl M. Marsh, 42, of Coldspring was charged with second-degree harassment at 1:38 a.m. on Aug. 5. According to police, the charge was issued after an incident at Marsh's residence. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in court later.
CARROLLTON - Brett A. Bunker, 36, of Carrollton was charged with third-degree arson and criminal mischief Tuesday. According to police, members of the Cattaraugus County Fire Investigation Team are investigating a vehicle fire. Currently, Bunker has been charged as a result of the incident. No occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the fire.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
ELLERY - Keith C. Darling, 33, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree stalking at 1 p.m. Friday. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge to be in court later.
STOCKTON - Bobby M. Ross, 27, of Dunkirk was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 12:55 a.m. on July 14. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge to be in court later.
