Marvin House Meeting Is Thursday
The Marvin House monthly membership meeting will be held at noon Thursday. Kathleen Crocker and Jane Currie, local authors, will present the program ''Hot Off the Press.'' They will also discuss their recently released publication. Reservations are required; call 488-6206. Jane Winter greeted members at a recent meeting. Jonolyn Weinstein and Waneta Melquist were cashiers. Pat Sundell gave the invocation.
Seniors To Meet For Chicken BBQ
The Cassadaga, Stockton and Lily Dale Senior Citizens annual meeting and chicken barbecue will be at noon Monday in the American Legion, Cassadaga. Members attending should take a meatless dish to pass and their table service. For reservations, contact Florine Christy at 595-2490.
Seniors Announce Monday BBQ
Celoron-West Ellicott Seniors will meet at noon Monday for a chicken barbecue in the Lakewood Rod and Gun pavilion. Reservations must be made today; call 488-9891. Members attending should take their own beverage and table covering. Sixty seniors attended a recent meeting and picnic. Reports were read and approved. Richard Trostle was thanked for providing the sound system for summer events. Adrian Smith presented humorous readings. Nola Riley, assisted by Zara Miles, conducted a Chinese auction. Arlene Christopherson, president, closed the meeting with prayer and song.
Olson Reunion To Be Held Aug. 19
The 24th annual reunion of the descendants of Anders Gustavf and Augusta Ephelia Anderson Olson will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 19 at 107 W. Main St., Frewsburg. The theme is Christmas, and all those attending should take a Christmas wrapped white elephant gift and their swim suits.
