JAMESTOWN POLICE

Terry E. Nichols, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with falsely reporting an incident and making a punishable false written statement at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday. According to a police report, officers were called to 708 E. Second St. for a reported armed robbery. Nichols told officers he was held up at knifepoint, but after an investigation it was determined that he was not robbed. Nichols was placed under arrest and taken to the city jail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

ALLEGANY - Richard L. Green, 46, of Allegany, was taken into custody on two warrants issued out of the Family Court at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday. He was taken to the Family Court for an arraignment and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail. He will be back in court later.

LITTLE VALLEY - Patrick A. Askey, 20, of Salamanca, was charged with second-degree harassment at 11:10 p.m. Friday. According to a police report, Askey allegedly pushed another male into a chain link fence, causing a cut on the victim's shoulder. Askey is due in court later.

NEW ALBION - Jeffrey S. Ruper, 38, of Salamanca, was charged with petit larceny at 7 p.m. Friday. According to a police report, Ruper allegedly took more than $250 from an individual that he was living with when he was moving out of the residence. Ruper was processed and released with an appearance ticket to be in court later.

OLEAN - Parris J. Mobley, 29, of Fayettville, N.C., was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration at 12:45 a.m. Monday. According to a police report, during a vehicle stop, Mobley was asked for his name and date of birth by deputies, but refused to cooperate. When he was asked to exit the vehicle, he began to take his clothes off and was verbally combative with the deputies. He was issued appearance tickets for the charges and then turned over to the Jamestown Police Department on two bench warrants out of the City of Jamestown.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

CHERRY CREEK - Matthew W. Buck, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon at 1:42 p.m. Monday. He is being held and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

POLAND - Sandra M. Merrick, 43, of El Paso, Texas, was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice at 5:45 p.m. Monday. Merrick is being held pending further action.

POMFRET - Robert Soch, 53, of Fredonia, was charged with criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

NEW ALBION - Jeffrey A. Schosek, 29, of Cattaraugus, was charged with trespassing at 11:30 p.m. on July 28. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.

HANOVER - Ryan M. Carr, 24, of North Tonawanda, was charged with disorderly conduct at 5:40 p.m. on July 1. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.

NORTH HARMONY - Martika R. Wescott, 21, of Frewsburg, was charged with making a false written statement at 3:14 p.m. Sunday. She was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.

ELLERY - Michael J. Bartok, 38, of Bemus Point, was charged with third-degree assault at 10:15 p.m. Sunday and released on his own recognizance.
