Annabelle M. Carris, 73, of 58 S. State St., Ripley, N.Y., passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at her home.
She was born March 18, 1939, in Caribou, Maine, to George and Cora (Caron) Whiteneck.
Annabelle in earlier years had worked at Peek'n Peak. She enjoyed playing bingo, enjoyed her flower garden around her home, and loved her family and grandchildren.

Annabelle is survived by her husband, Gordon P. Carris of Ripley, N.Y., whom she was married to for 55 years; children: June Jordon, Sonia McGuay, Gordy (Melissa) Carris and Denise Carris; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Donna Eggleston, Sandy and Flora Alcorn; and three brothers: Frank Whiteneck, Bob and Roy Alcorn.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tonya Lincoln; and a brother, Leon Alcorn.
The family will receive friends at Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, N.Y., on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sears officiating.
