Geraldine L. Holmes, 84, of 2 Popal Lane in Bemus Point, formerly of 61 Beech St., Jamestown, died Thurs-day, Aug. 2, 2012, in her home.
She was born March 13, 1928, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Floyd and Marion Southland Short, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1946.
Geraldine had been em-ployed for 25 years as a secretary by the former Art Metal Corp., retiring in 1973. Following her retire-ment, she worked for Jamestown Unit Parts for another 10 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Meekins who died in 2002.
At Geraldine's request, no funeral service or visita-tion will be observed. Buri-al will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.
