MR. AND MRS. ROY STORMS

Roy and Elizabeth Storms of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., and Port Richey, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 15, 2012, with a reception at the American Legion Post 777 in Lakewood, N.Y. They are the parents of five children: Valerie Paul of Champlain, N.Y., Julie Jones of London, Ontario, Canada, and Dawn Mullins of Knoxville, Tenn., who were in attendance at the reception and Kevin Storms of Columbia, Tenn., and Kimberly Rust of Chesapeake, Va. They have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Out of town state guests attended from Canada, Tennessee and South Carolina. Members of the original wedding party in attendance were William Weilacher, brother of the bride, Jack Storms, cousin of the groom, and Bob Storms, brother of groom.

They were married June 28, 1952, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Dr. Felix Hanson, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony.

Storms is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving aboard the USS Soley and the USS Wright. A retired employee of the BPU in Jamestown, N.Y,, he is a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Elk Lodge, Eagle Lodge, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mrs. Storms had been employed by JNP in Jamestown, N.Y., and as a case manager at Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services in Port Richey, Fla. They attend Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spring Hills, Fla.
