JAMESTOWN POLICE

Daniel S. Babyak, 39, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, three counts of passing a stop sign, speeding, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and felony driving while intoxicated at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, an officer on patrol observed a speeding vehicle. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it failed to comply, leading the officer on a short pursuit. The vehicle, allegedly driven by Babyak, stopped in a driveway on Fairmount Avenue. Babyak was charged and taken to the city jail where he was held pending arraignment.

Miranda E. Dickinson, 32, of Jamestown was charged with moving from a lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday. Officers were dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle accident, and upon arrival determined that Dickinson had struck a legally parked vehicle on Prendergast Avenue. Dickinson's vehicle then continued, striking another parked vehicle. She was located and taken to the city jail without further incident.

ELLICOTT POLICE

Robert A. Arguelles, 22, and Patrick J. Riley, 51, both of Falconer were charged with petit larceny on Tuesday. According to a police report, the subjects took merchandise from Wegmans and left without paying for it. When confronted by loss prevention, both subjects fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the subjects and issue appearance tickets to both.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

MAYVILLE - Chaney Palau, 39, of Jamestown was wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office for felony driving while intoxicated. He was arrested on his charges by Jamestown Police and is currently in the Chautauqua County Jail. He has been removed from the Chautauqua County wanted list.

HANOVER - Klarissa J. Foster, 22, of Hanover was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 12:29 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, officers responded to a distturbance at an address in Hanover. During the investigation, it was discovered the Foster had gotten into an argument with another subject and proceeded to break an exterior window. She was issued appearance tickets and will be in court later.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

CONEWANGO - Matt W. Shields, 30, of Randolph was charged with second-degree assault at 8:30 p.m. on July 21. According to a police report, it is alleged that Shields cut another person with a knife while the two were engaged in a fight. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

POLAND - Michelle M. Prince, 45, of Kennedy was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent and driving while intoxicated at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday. She was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

ELLERY - Erik N. Possai, 19, of Bemus Point was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

HANOVER - A 17-year-old male from Kenmore was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a seat belt violation at 4:38 p.m. Monday. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court later.
