The St. John Italian Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday at St. John Church at Newton and Buffalo streets, Jamestown.
Hours are from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday with a Mass celebrated outdoors at 4 p.m. and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Authentic Italian food including sausage, tripe, pasta fagioli, ziti, meatball subs, carduni, melenzani, cannoli, Italian ice, spumoni, rice balls, lasagna roll-ups, tortellini and more than 30,000 Italian cookies baked for the festival will be available. Hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, pop and wine coolers will also be available.
Entertainment for all ages will appear on the festival's outdoor stage. Starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the Happy Days band will perform. On Sunday, The Scro Brothers will perform from 1 to 4 p.m. The band was part of the Johnny Puleo and the Harmonocats that performed in the 1960s. There will also be live entertainment on an indoor stage in the church hall; featuring Joe Uculano, Norm Paduano and friends, the Take 2 acoustic duo and other performers. There will also be children's activities.
