Six athletes competing for Team USA at the London Olympics beginning Friday will take the floor in Jamestown later this year.

The Jamestown Savings Bank Arena will host the Progressive Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.

Women's national team gymnasts Jordyn Wieber, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman will join men's gymnasts Danell Leyva and John Orozco on rings, bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Also participating will be 2008 Beijing women's all-around gold medalist Nastia Liukin.

Wieber, the reigning all-around world champion is considered by many to be the best female gymnast in the world and is a favorite in all four individual events in London. Douglas and Raisman were members of the USA's 2011 World Championship gold medal-winning team in Japan where Raisman took bronze in the floor exercise. Leyva and Orozco were members of the USA's bronze medal-winning team at the 2011 World Championships where Leyva won the gold medal in the parallel bars.

Prior to this summer's Olympics, Liukin was probably the most well-known of the athletes coming to Jamestown. The 22-year-old was the 2008 Beijing Olympics all-around women's champion as well as the 2007 World Champion on balance beam and 2005 World Champion on uneven bars.

Taking the ice that night will be Meryl Davis and Charlie White, 2011 World Championship ice dancing gold medalists; Alissa Czisny, two-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships gold medalist; Maia and Alex Shibutani, 2011 World Championship ice dancing bronze medalists; Ashley Wagner, two-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships bronze medalist; Jeremy Abbott, three-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships gold medalist; Adam Rippon, U.S. Figure Skating Championships silver medalist; and Gracie Gold, World Junior Figure Skating Championships silver medalist.

Also performing at the arena will be Nickelodeon's The Fresh Beat Band and Ross Lynch & the R5 Band from Disney Channel's "Austin & Ally."

The Dec. 15 show will also be recorded to air nationally Jan. 19 on NBC.

Tickets, which range in price from $45 to $279 plus fees are on sale now by calling the arena at 484-2624 or visiting jamestownarena.com.
