Hannah Schneider of Panama recently spoke and demonstrated colonial American women's attire to the Jamestown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is currently a student at Edinboro University studying to be a museum curator. She has been sewing and exhibiting her French and Indian War era (1750s-1760s) women's attire. She was an excellent speaker and demonstrated how ladies of the day would dress. She brought in a clothing collection and "dressed" a dress form to show all how the layered outfits were worn. She would like to continue in the area of historic preservation. Any woman interested in becoming a member of the DAR, who is over the age of 18, and can prove linage to a patriot who fought or gave aid to the American Revolution, may call 267-3817 for further information.
