Seventy-three drivers competed in five heats featuring small, 4- and 6-cylinder front wheel drive and larger rear-wheel drive cars during Tuesday's demolition derby event at the Chautauqua County Fair. All winners will move on to the feature heat on Sunday. The demolition derby feature on Sunday will begin at 4 p.m. with more qualifying heats. Gates will open 45 minutes prior to the event. Grandstand reserved seats can be purchased at the fair office. Pictured at right is Eric Remmington, left, of Brocton, who won best paint job at Tuesday's demolition derby. He was presented with a trophy by Al Wilson of the Chautauqua County Fair. The award is given in memory of the late Mark Carlson.
