Sinclairville Man Hospitalized After One-Car Crash

CHERRY CREEK - A Sinclairville man was taken to WCA Hospital following an early morning crash Tuesday in Cherry Creek.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident at 3:15 a.m. near the area of Bates Road and Thornton Road in Cherry Creek.

According to a police report, Mark E. Swanson, 55, of Sinclairville, was driving his vehicle eastbound on Bates Road when he failed to stop at the intersection of Bates Road and Thornton Road. His vehicle continue across Thornton Road and into the woods, striking an embankment. The vehicle came to rest against an outbuilding that had already caved in on itself.

Swanson was taken to WCA for apparent minor injuries. The investigation into the accident is continuing and charges may be filed later.
