Panama Class Of 1982 Sets Reunion

PANAMA - The Panama Central School Class of 1982 will hold its 30th reunion Saturday, Aug. 4 at the home of Valerie Culvert-Sutton on Barker Road in Niobe from 4 to 8 p.m. Class members are asked to bring their own tableware, a chair and a dish to pass. Applebee's To Collect Books

LAKEWOOD - Applebee's is collecting new books for The Salvation Army to give to children in the Jamestown area through Aug. 31. Children dropping off books are eligible for prizes from Applebee's depending on how many books they drop off. After the book drive, the books will be distributed by The Salvation Army.

Moore Road Bridge Being Replaced

CHAUTAUQUA - Chautauqua County Bridge 946 on Moore Road, between Route 394 and Hewes Road in Chautauqua, is closed to all traffic effective today. The bridge is being replaced and a detour is posted.

Lakewood Library To Host Program

The Lakewood Memorial Library will start a new book discussion group for grandchildren, ages 10 and older, and their grandparents. The program consist of both reading the same book and then meeting once a month at the library, 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood, to discuss the book. Meetings are planned for Monday, July 30, and Monday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. Those who want to participate in the program should visit the library to join. Hatchet by Gary Paulsen will be the first book to be discussed.

Art Show In Davis Park Is Aug. 18

FALCONER - The Eye to the Future Committee of Falconer, with Brenda Cavallaro, Dr. Patricia Fales, Francelia Skoglund and Jeri Yauchzy attending, recently met to finalize plans for the upcoming Art Show in Davis Park, Main Street, Falconer. The event will be held Aug. 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is still time and space for anyone who has a particular art media to make arrangements to participate. STOCKTON - Chautauqua County Bridge 801 on Route 380 between Fenner Road and Route 57 in Stockton is now open.

Busti Devt. Group To Meet Thursday

BUSTI - The Busti Hamlet Development Group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Busti Victorian Hall, 863 Mill Road.

Gowanda Pharmacy To Present Seminar

GOWANDA - An "Empty Nest Syndrome" seminar will be presented by Connie Ackerman, licensed clinical social worker from TLC Health Network at noon Thursday at the Valley Pharmacy. Light refreshments, a drawing and brochures will be available. For more information, call the pharmacy at 532-1700.

Pre-Licensing Class Is Aug. 4

A five-hour prelicensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 6-7. Pre-register by calling the guidance office at 569-7026 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
