The Harmony Seniors will meet on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 5 p.m. in the Panama United Methodist Church. All those planning to attend are asked to bring their own table service and a dish to pass. Recently the group met for a chicken barbecue catered by Falconer Foods. The afternoon began with a Chinese auction. Pauline Edsall read "Flag Of the Free," gave the dinner prayer and led the flag salute.
Birthdays were celebrated by Bonnie Anderson, Franklin Hanson, Richard Carlson, eldest in attendance, and Geraldine Johnston. Kathryn and Desmond Harper celebrated their anniversary.
Rosalie Logue, president, welcomed members and visitors and conducted a brief business meeting. Members discussed the election of officers for 2013. Replacements are needed for the offices of president, secretary and chaplain.
Dottie Enlow gave a trip report. She announced that payment is due at the August meeting for the mystery trip on Sept. 24.
