Charles Victor Warner Sr., 72, of 50 Howard St., Fredonia, N.Y., passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the VA Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
He was born March 6, 1940, in Ripley, N.Y., the son of the late Albert and Pearl (Lewis) Warner Sr.
Charles was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in Vietnam and throughout Europe.
Charles is survived by his children: Charles Warner Jr., New Mexico, Carolyn Barrs, Pickens S.C., Craig Warner, Tennes-see; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; broth-ers and sisters: Albert Warner Jr., Phyllis New-man, Roy Warner, Clifford Warner and Sharon Cobb.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Carolyn Warner who died March 26, 2005; brothers and sisters: Milo and Gordon, Harold Warner, and Bessie Jamis-on.
The funeral service will be held today, Saturday July 21, 2012, at 5 p.m., at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, N.Y., with the Rev. Roger Westley, offici-ating; Friends will be re-ceived for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital, Erie, Pa.
