Dale and Ellen Barmore of Gerry, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 12, 2012, at the Gerry Fire Department Conference Center. The celebration was hosted by their children Lanny and Rindy Barmore, Randy and Tiffany Barmore and Stephanie Barmore. They also have four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Barmore and the former Ellen Stevens were married May 12, 1962, in the Gerry United Methodist Church. Pastor Arthur Jones performed the ceremony.
Barmore is retired from Local 17 Operating Engineers. Mrs. Barmore is retired from Heritage Village.
