Area law enforcement officials are currently looking for any information regarding a robbery that took place in the parking lot of Wegmans in Lakewood.
On July 8 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a customer was loading her groceries into the trunk of her vehicle at Wegmans. An unknown younger white male, driving a gray small older sedan, pulled up to the victim, grabbed her purse and took it from the victim. This caused the victim to fall to the pavement, causing her injury.
The suspect did flee the scene with her purse, which contained an unknown amount of cash and personal belongings.
The Town of Ellicott Police Department is looking for anyone who might have witnessed this incident to please come forward with any information that may help. The Ellicott Police can be contacted by calling either 665-7083 or 661-7232.
