FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg Volunteer Fire Department will continue its 88th annual Old Home Week through Saturday with the usual rides, food, fireworks and music to which Frewsburg residents have become accustomed.
The purpose of the Old Home Week is to raise money for the fire department.
"It's a firemen's function," said Laurie Lindholme, who works for the fire department. "All the proceeds go toward buying the fireman what they need."
This year's fair boasts new rides provided by Amusement Rides of Utica. Wristbands are $20, and $5 discount coupons can be found at several local businesses, including the Frewsburg Kwik Fill, Sally's Deli, Spectacular Sports, Mackie Appliance and Lobb's Mobil.
Fairgoers can participate in karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday. and there will be live music on Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with Two For Flinching playing on Friday and Pressure Sensitive on Saturday.
The grand finale parade will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
