To the Readers' Forum:
Kudos to a fellow Falconerite, Jim Walker, for his recent letter: ''Time To Get Out of the Weed Control Business.'' I especially liked when he wrote: ''... consider the 90 percent of Chautauqua County taxpayers that don't use the lake.''
I once heard, or read, that small, old lakes evolve. After filling up with weeds and, over many years, they become wetlands; then meadows; then forests. If this is true of our lake, then another of Mr. Walker's statements is especially appropriate: ''Our legislature might figure out that something that they have not helped in 50 years will not be helped by throwing more money at it faster.''
