Safe Passage

July 11, 2012
The Post-Journal

FALCONER - The bridge at Falconer Park is completed and will provide safe passage over Moonbrook Creek for local children and their families when they visit Falconer Park. The village of Falconer and Falconer Rotary have worked for 10 years to upgrade and improve the park. The financial generosity of several local foundations provided much-needed money to complete the project. Financial help has been received from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the Johnson Foundation, the Sheldon Foundation and the Carnahan-Jackson Foundation as well as several area businesses and citizens. The Falconer Rotary Club will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand reopening of Falconer Park on Aug. 23. The reopening will be combined with the club's annual chicken barbecue with chicken prepared by the Ellington Fire Department as well as entertainment.
