RANDOLPH - David M. Sherlock, 51, of Fifth Avenue, Randolph, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, in the town of Randolph.
He was born Nov. 26, 1960, in New Orleans, La., the son of Kenneth Neil and Jeannette L. Barton Sherlock.
He was a 1978 graduate of Randolph Central School, and was a chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy, serving for more than 26 years. David was a member of the Randolph Grace Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his parents of Randolph, with whom he shared a home; his wife, Frances Diaz of Jacksonville, Fla.: two sons: Darryl Sherlock of Olean, and Nathaniel Sherlock of Jacksonville; three daughters: Amanda Sherlock of Jamestown, Tonya Sherlock of Olean, and Alexandria Sherlock of Jacksonville; a sister, Laurel Hale and her husband, John, of Randolph; a brother, Greg Sherlock and his wife, Moria, (Campese) of Fredonia; and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Christopher Scott Sherlock, Stephen Mark Sherlock and Darryl Wayne Sherlock.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (July 13, 2012), in Randolph Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Thomas Broad, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
