To the Readers' Forum:
After living in the village of Lakewood for over 40 years, I have done my share of complaining about taxes and the way things are done, but this time I have to commend our DPW for the job they do.
A perfect example is the Fourth of July celebration. After a day of races, partying, and fireworks until 11 p.m. with tens of thousands of people, I went for my usual morning walk at 8 a.m. on the fifth of July and found the lakefront park spotlessly clean.
I don't know how they did it, but I appreciate the job they did. Our Lakewood DPW crew is the best!
