GOWANDA - Ellen M. Weller, 93, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Miller Street, Gowanda, formerly of South Dayton and Ham-burg, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Bay City, Mich., on June 19, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Sadie Martin.
Mrs. Weller worked as an assistant manager for the former Wurster Hardware, Hamburg, for 15 years. She enjoyed her family, flowers, gardening and dogs and cats.

Survivors include a daughter, Marily (Albert) Butcher, of South Dayton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James G. Weller, whom she married Nov. 20, 1939, in Hamburg; a son Paul T. Weller; a brother Chester Martin and four other brothers.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from where funeral services will be held Saturday morning, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Bethany Ruane, pastor of South Dayton United Methodist Church, officiat-ing. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Prospect Lawn Cemetery, Hamburg.
The family suggests memorials may be made ei-ther to the American Heart Association, 25 Hazelwood Drive, West Amherst, NY 14228; or American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audu-bon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228-1198.
