Wayne Schuver of the Allegheny Highlands Council of the Boy Scouts of America was a recent guest speaker of the Cassadaga Valley Kiwanis Club.
An overview of the activities of the Boy Scouts and the operation of its two summer camp programs was given. Schuver displayed slides of Camp Mertz in Mayville and Elk Lick Scout Reserve in Smethport, Pa.
He also described the service projects done by scouts for area communities and the training devoted to scout leaders.
