MAYVILLE - The first performance of the 2012 Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series will feature jazz classics, swing and pop performed by The Dave Yuen Show.
The concert will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at the uptown Village Green Park, located at the corner of routes 394 and 430, Mayville. The Dave Yuen Show includes Yuen and his wife Elaine from Dunkirk. Yuen plays trumpet and guitar while Mrs. Yuen sings. Yuen has been performing since the 1970s. The Dave Yuen Show will perform songs from the likes of Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra and music from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
In case of inclement weather, the performance will be held at the Carlson Community Center at Lakeside Park, Mayville, along Route 394 about a mile south of the uptown Routes 394 and 430 intersection. A 50-50 drawing will also be held at each of the performances throughout the summer with the winning ticket drawn at the end of the concert. Proceeds will benefit the Chamber of Commerce and its work in the community. The Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the village of Mayville and the town of Chautauqua. Anyone attending should bring lawn chairs for seating.
