Sarah Giambrone

Sarah Giambrone, 90, of the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility passed away at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2012), at Heritage Green.

An area resident for most of her life, she was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Anita, Pa., a daughter of the late Matthew and Josephine Lombardo Parinella.

Before her retirement years, she had been employed by the former Maddox Table Company. In earlier years, she had worked for the former National Worsted Mills, Crescent Tool Company and was a cook at WCA Hospital.

She was a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son Michael J. (Rochelle) Giambrone Jr. of Jamestown, N.Y.; a daughter, Kathleen Keesler of Lakeville, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Laurie Lisciandro of Austin, Texas, Kristine (Jay) Taubert of Birchwood, Tenn., and Michael J. (Nichole) Giambrone of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren: Gina and Nicholas Lisciandro, Alex and Michael Taubert and Olivia Giambrone; and her twin sister, Grace Bongiovanni of Dunkirk, N.Y.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Giambrone, who died in 1984; a brother, Sam Parinella; and three sisters: Jessie Angelo, Mary Nordland and Angeline Nelson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Aaron Bjork, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
