Rev. Msgr. Rupert A. Wright, 82. pastor emeritus of St. Gregory the Great Church. Beloved son of the late Catherine M. (nee Barrett) and Rupert A. Wright Sr. Dear brother of Richard M. (Carolyn) Wright, DDS of Fredonia, N.Y., and the late Julian B. Wright.
Msgr. Wright will lie in state on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated Friday at 10 a.m. The Most Rev. Edward M. Grosz, D.D. V.G., auxiliary bishop of Buffalo, will be principal celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamestown, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rev. Msgr. Rupert A. Wright Catholic Education Fund, c/o St. Gregory the Great School, 200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville, NY 14221; or Brothers of Mercy, 10570 Bergtold Rd., Clarence, NY 14031.
