JAMESTOWN POLICE
Edgardo Calderon, 31, was charged with first-degree assault at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, officers responded to a stabbing in the area of 163 Barrows St. The investigation revealed that Calderon stabbed a male victim in the stomach during an altercation. He was located and transported to the Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment. It was also learned that Calderon is an illegal alien and Border Control was contacted.
Daniel S. Babyak, 39, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of an unwanted male. Upon investigation, it was found that Babyak had entered a residence without the tenant's permission to do so during a domestic incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
Jason C. Green, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, Green entered Patsy's Bar and attempted to pass several counterfeit $10 bills. Green was taken into custody without incident.
Duane E. McKotch, 50, of West Ellicott, was charged with passing a red light, DWI and aggravated DWI at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday. According to a police report, McKotch was stopped in his vehicle after he passed through a red light on West Third Street at Cherry Street. Further investigation revealed that McKotch was intoxicated. He will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.
Kristen N. Becker, 18, of Fredonia, was charged with moving from lane unsafely and operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol under the age of 21 at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, a vehicle was observed moving from its lane unsafely. The vehicle was stopped and Becker was observed operating the vehicle with two other female passengers. She was found to be under 21 and to have consumed alcohol prior to operating the vehicle. She will appear in court at a later date. She will also be required to appear at a Department of Motor Vehicle hearing at a later date. Operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol under the age of 21 is handled with a zero-tolerance policy.
ELLICOTT POLICE
Raymond R. Cole Jr., 41, of Lakewood, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny June 28. According to a police report, the American Legion of Celoron had reported that several thousand dollars was stolen. Investigators were able to find out that Cole, an employee there, had allegedly committed the burglary. He was apprehended on June 30 and is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
Samuel L. Critzer, 25, of Falconer, was charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana. According to a police report, officers located Critzer in Falconer. Ellicott Police had an active arrest warrant for Critzer for petit larceny. Upon apprehension, Critzer was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.
Kimberly S. Burrows, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment. According to a police report, Burrows allegedly struck a victim in the face with a closed fist, causing injury. She will appear in court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
LAKEWOOD - Danielle E. Blum, 25, of Dewittville, was charged with aggravated DWI and failure to maintain lane at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on East Summit Avenue. Blum's BAC was three times the legal limit at the time of the accident.
LAKEWOOD - Nathaniel D. Tomczak, 29, of Coraopolis, Pa., was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, Tomczak allegedly threatened and pushed a victim numerous times. He also punched several holes into the walls at the location of the incident.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
MAYVILLE - Jessica M. Swan, 35, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, Swan was charged following an altercation at the Hartfield Bay Cafe where she allegedly struck a subject in the face. She was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court at a later date.
HANOVER - Jared M. Leavitt, 26, of Buffalo, was charged with failure to signal, DWI and DWI per se at 2:11 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, Leavitt was stopped in his vehicle after failing to use a turn signal while pulling into a driveway. Further investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. Leavitt was released with tickets and will appear in court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Austin C. Adams, 19, of Eden, was charged with second-degree assault at 6 p.m. Sunday. She was taken into custody, arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $500 bail.
FREEDOM - Justin J. Burrows, 30, of Belfast, was charged with failure to dim highbeams, broken windshield, unlicensed operator and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation at 10:30 p.m. Friday. He was arraigned and released to appear back in court at a later date.
FREEDOM - Joy J. Bartel, 26, of Corfu, was charged with DWI, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane and further charges are pending awaiting blood results after deputies responded to a one-car accident at 9:19 p.m. on June 28. According to a police report, Bartel, who was operating the vehicle, was determined to be intoxicated upon the arrival of deputies. She will appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA - Faye J. Briggs, 30, of Olean, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to maintain lane and failure to obey a traffic control device at 1:15 a.m. Monday. She was processed and released on $250 bail to a licensed party. She will return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
ASHFORD - Andrea M. Cooper, 26, of New Bethlehem, Pa., was charged with failure to keep right, DWI and DWI with a BAC more than .08 percent at 5:18 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop in the town of Ashford. She was released to a third party and is to return to court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
WESTFIELD - Michelle M. Logan, 44, of Westfield, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday.
CHAUTAUQUA - William E. Carter, 30, of Mayville, was charged with second-degree harassment at 7:26 p.m. Monday.
RANDOLPH - Andrew K. Baker, 23, of Randolph, was charged with DWI and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday. He was issued appearance tickets for the charges and will appear in court at a later date.
KIANTONE - Jeremy J. Steves, 32, of Russell, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession and/or use of fireworks at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday. Steves was issued an appearance ticket for the charge and will appear in court at a later date.
MINA - Barry A. Seekings, 52, of Sherman, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 11:05 a.m. on May 6. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge and will be in court at a later date.
ELLINGTON - Robert L. Fournier, 51, of Boston, Mass., was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container at 9 a.m. Tuesday. He is currently being held pending further action.
Kayla A. Norris, 20, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday. She is currently being held pending further action.
BROCTON - Adam S. Thornton, 31, of Brocton, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was issued appearance tickets for the charges and will be in court at a later date.
SHERIDAN - Dustin J. Krull, 26, of Lakeview, was charged with unlawfully dealing with fireworks at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in court at a later date.
SOUTH DAYTON - Guy M. Ricketts, 33, of South Dayton, was charged with issuing a bad check at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge to be in court at a later date.
GOWANDA - Steven Grundhoefer, 19, of Gowanda, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 percent, DWI and refusal to take a breath test at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday. He was issued appearance tickets for the charges and will be in court at a later date.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
Chad A. Carlson, 21, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault. The charges stem from a physical relationship that Carlson had with a 14-year-old female. He was committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Further court action is pending.
