Mary L. Card, 83, of 1537 Shadyside Road Lakewood, N.Y., died Mon-day July 2, 2012 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
She was born June 28, 1929 in Stockton, N.Y., the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith Jones.
Mary was a member and past president of the Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post 8647 VFW Auxiliary, and past president of the Coun-ty VFW Auxiliary. She en-joyed gardening, camping, knitting, crocheting, plastic canvas, and jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving are her hus-band of 65 years, Francis Laverne Card, whom she married October 12, 1946; her son, Bradley L. (Mary Kay) Card; and her grand-son, Corey Card, all of Lakewood.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Arthur Jones, Gladys Smith, and twins Paul Jones and Pauline McCollum.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pamela Peterson, her god-child, will officiate. Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home where a VFW Auxili-ary Service will be con-ducted at 3 p.m.
