To the Readers' Forum:
How many people need to be hurt or killed before our police stop speeders on our main streets in town?
I live on Washington Street and people speeding on my street are a real problem. There are times when I have been crossing the street to my house when someone coming down the sreet speeds up like they are trying to hit you.
As parents we need to teach our children to cross at the light , but a lot of times they will not because they are in a hurry to get to the park or the skate park or to get to the store from the park side of the road. There are far too many children in this area for the speeding problem not to be taken care of.
It has not been summer for a month and all ready two accidents have happen on Washington Street. How many more will happen?
